Dear Parents
As we reach the end of another term can we extend our thanks to you all for your support of your wonderful children. They are a credit to you all and we have been delighted with their progress and attitude to learning. Thank you to the staff for their tireless commitment to your children, always going above and beyond to make the learning experience special for everyone. It always makes us proud to see everyone in the school community take care of each other, so thank you for bringing our Writtle family together.
Easter activities
All classes have been busy enjoying a variety of Easter and Spring themed activities this week. The warmer weather meant that Forest School children could bask in the sunshine while planting up pots and beds for the summer, and the children examined our donation of frogspawn before it goes in the pond! Thank you to Mrs Winsley and Mrs Stobbie for their wonderful Easter display this week (above)!
Reading over Easter
Your children's e-book libraries have been updated this week for use over the Easter holidays. Please take the opportunity to read with your child regularly.
Parking
We have received a complaint this week from a resident on Lodge Road whose driveway was blocked by a parked car. Once again can we please remind you to park with consideration for pedestrians and our neighbours.
Clubs and Forest School
The clubs timetable is now published so you can book places with our professional coaches from now onwards. The staff clubs can be booked via ParentMail when we return for the Summer term. We have emailed parents of those children having piano lessons so please ensure payment is made when we return as the tuition begins on the first day back. Foxes and Squirrels will have Forest School lessons next term. For health and safety reasons, please ensure your children have wellies and long sleeved tops with trousers for these sessions, even in hot weather.
Wishing you all a relaxing break, we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 23rd April.
Best wishes,
Mrs Wilson & Mr Taylor

Highlights of the week
EYFS
Year 1
This week we have been learning about why Christians celebrate Easter and made a story map to help us write some of the Easter story. We have also made Easter cards.
Year 2
We've had a great last week in Year 2 with lots of Easter filled activities: creating and writing Easter cards, making edible Easter nests, writing Spring shape poems and more! We also enjoyed the sun on Wednesday and went out to play a year group game of 3 Tees Cricket! Have a great Easter all, you deserve a rest!
