Come along and visit Chelmsford City Council’s Recycling and Waste Depot on Saturday 18 February 2023 to find out what happens to all the materials that you put out for recycling collection. This is an opportunity for residents to pop in and see how the recycling process works, learn more about your waste collection services and take a tour of the depot.
Freighter House also houses Chelmsford’s Street Care services. It’s not an easy task maintaining a clean and tidy city with 1,400 miles of road and paths. So come along and ask our friendly Street Care staff how they manage their operations and you can even sit behind the wheel of a street sweeper.
