The first week for Turtles and our main focus was getting to know our surroundings and learning the rules about safety around the fire. We had marshmallows and the fire sounded amazing with all the popping! We had a mindful minute where we closed our eyes and shared what we heard around the fire circle, but the noise of the fire took all the glory! We learned why trees lose their leaves and next week we’ll make hedgehog habitats to help hedgehogs and other creatures stay warm. We relaxed by the fire with our blankets, reading books. You could say we’d chilled out if we hadn’t been so warm! Thank you so much to Rowan’s family for the tent donations! They are unbelievably generous, we are so grateful.
