Dear Parents,
It's been a super sporty week! The highlight was of course our Sports Day on Tuesday afternoon, when the children from both schools showed brilliant sportsmanship and competitiveness as each team battled to secure the most points. Well done to the Blue Team who were the overall winners! We are really proud of the children, it's great to see all age groups working together, supporting each other and cheering each other on. Thank you to all the parents and family members who came to spectate and to our PTA for providing refreshments. The sport continued today, when all Year 1 and Year 2 children received a training session with Chelsea Football Club! Thank you to Alfie from their school outreach team for coming today, it was an amazing opportunity for the children to play with a professional coach.
Summer Fair
It's here! After another dress down day today (thank you all for your donations of cakes and sweets), the PTA are busy preparing to put on the biggest event of the year tomorrow. Please come along from 11.30am to 2pm, the fair is open to all friends and family. It's not too late to offer half an hour of your time to put up a gazebo, or clear away at the end of the event, the PTA will be giving up their time from very early this morning until late tomorrow afternoon, so the more volunteers there are, the more time everyone has with their families to enjoy the day. We're looking forward to performances from our Cheerleaders at 12pm and Mini Musicals Club at 12.30pm, so do come along and show your support!
Reading Books
Another reminder to return any school books you might have at home please! We are missing books in school and would love to see them back, so please have a hunt around at home. You can access e-books through the Collins library, personal login details were emailed to you in December, or ask the school office for details.
Clubs
Please note that next week is the final week for piano lessons, Mini Tennis and staff clubs (Mini Musicals, Chatty Club and Construction). Yoga, Gymnastics and Football will continue until the following week. Please see the updated clubs timetable for more details.
Health Advice
A reminder that every Tuesday afternoon we offer a Health Advice Drop-In service with one of the school-age health practitioners. The team are available in the library for you to discuss any health concerns about your child(ren). Please click here to book an appointment.
We'll see you at the Fair tomorrow. The PTA will be selling raffle tickets this afternoon, so even if you can't attend you can still take part!
Best wishes,
Tracey Wilson

EYFS Tapestry Challenge
Highlights of the week
EYFS
The children loved their first sports day this week and we are really proud of the way they coped. We have also been excited by the emergence of our butterflies from their chrysalises. We released them today and the children were sad but proud to see them fly off!
Year 1
We have had a busy fun filled week in Year 1! We let our butterflies go, although one particular butterfly didn’t want to leave us as you can see from the picture! Also the children thoroughly enjoyed sports day and learning some football skills from the Chelsea Football Team!
Year 2
This week, we've been immersed in the fun and excitement of sports day, experienced practical learning on Rosa Parks and have created paper versions of Kente weaving!
