What’s On – Friday 26th February

Message from Mrs. Castell

Dear Parents,

We are delighted by the announcement that the children will all be returning on Monday 8th March!

We are currently reviewing all of our arrangements as we need to ensure everyone keeps safe and that we are fully within the government guidelines for a full reopening. The staggered start and finish time will need to remain in place to allow us to do all we can to avoid the transmission of the virus. I will write to you on Monday about the arrangements for a full return which we do not expect to change much from when we returned in the autumn term as essentially we are still under lockdown conditions.

We all know that children may have different routines when they are at home. If this is the case may I suggest that children at home next week try to follow the normal school timings, perhaps getting up earlier, lunch at 12.00, and perhaps tweaking bedtimes. This will help us settle the children back into school life enormously.

It is World Book Day next Thursday and we look forward to events remotely to celebrate this. Children will receive their World Book Day tokens when they return to school and they can be spent until the 28th March.

Friday 19th March is Red Nose Day, we are inviting the children to come in wearing spots or stripes for a suggested donation of £2 to Comic Relief.

We are looking for another parent governor to be part of our governing body. Should you be interested please contact me and we can discuss the commitment involved.

I am so looking forward to seeing everyone in person on Monday 8th March.

Warm regards

Helen Castell
