We had an absolutely brilliant visit from Warburtons! They came in over 2 days to give the Year 2 children a talk on healthy eating, nutrition and the process of making bread. Every child then made their own sandwich, choosing from a selection of healthy ingredients, which they took home with them to eat at the end of the day. The children had a great time and Warburtons were impressed at their knowledge of which food groups make up a healthy diet. The children have developed their understanding of good nutrition and hygienic preparation of food. You can see them all demonstrating their “baker’s hands” – clasping their hands after they have washed them to prevent any contamination before they start to prepare food. They also know how to read labels to check whether food is healthy. Thank you to Warburtons for a fantastic experience!
